CEK (giorgio cecatto)
CEK, an Italian ex-pat and graduate from the University of Udine, moved to Toronto in 2011 to pursue a career in Architecture. Inspired by the geometrical achievements of the Minimalism movement, his earlier concrete work combines product design and sculpture. The award-winning pieces range from artistic to architectural but CEK’s sculptures begin as everyday, functional objects.
Lately, his research has been directed towards exploring a new medium, the pen plotter, which CEK uses to draw geometrical plotted line compositions where the exact same principles are applied in a continuum with his design practice.
